The Gopher Must Die

We are now homeowners...very exciting, but we are now experiencing all the work that comes with home ownership that everyone has been telling us about. We have a new yard that we enjoy and it appears that the gopher also is enjoying very much. My husband wanted to of course eliminate the gopher the first time he spotted his existence. Being the animal lover that I am, my first thought was to spare his life by simply changing his habitat to perhaps the nice eucalyptus trail near our house where he could happily plow through miles of dirt. Now it appears that the gopher has been mocking us by digging up the 5th hole which has turned into unsightly mounds of dirt in our lovely little yard. Yes, foolish me...the gopher must die and he will! However, I am sure he will probably dig up 10 more holes before we get around to it just to spite us.
